Merge Request Form (formerly called ‘Crosslist Request Form’)

** We’ve renamed Cross List to Merge to better reflect its purpose: combining multiple course sections into a single, streamlined learning environment. While the name has changed, the functionality remains the same—helping instructors manage their courses more efficiently in one place.

What is a Merged course?

A merged course combines two or more CRNs into a single course shell, making it easier to deliver the same content to students across multiple sections.

Requests to merge courses must be submitted by the Instructor listed on all involved courses, the Program Administrator, or the Program Head. Please allow seven business days for processing.

Warning

Before proceeding with a merge, please verify that all secondary CRNs are empty.
Merging will permanently delete any existing content in the secondary CRNs, and this data cannot be recovered.

The name of the course will be updated to remove the CRN and replaced with ‘merge’, the term and the CRNs. For example OPMT-8101 (merge 2026## 98765 87654).

NOTE: The Primary/Parent CRN can be developed while this merge request has been submitted.
