Grades – How to a Create Pass/Fail Grading Scheme
You can grade users using a simple pass/fail grade scheme. Note that you cannot associate calculated grade items with course objects such as discussions, quizzes, and assignments. Only numeric grade items can be associated with course objects.
Create Grade Scheme
Go into your course > select Grades > Schemes > New Scheme
Settings for Grading Scheme
- Input the options shown above (indicated with red arrow)
- Choosing a colour is optional
- Enter the Assigned Value Percentage
- Select the trash can icon to delete the range section
- Choose Add Range to add another range row
Save and Close
Add Scheme to Grade Item
Go to Grades > Manage Grades > select the dropdown arrow beside the grade item > Edit
Under the Properties tab > scroll down to Grade Scheme > from the dropdown select the newly created grade scheme (Pass/Fail) > Save and Close
