Participate in discussions by posting a new thread to a Discussion topic or by replying to a thread that has been posted.

Select Discussion topic

Select the discussion topic to post or comment

Start a New Thread

Select Start a New Thread

Reply to a Thread

To respond to a thread, select the title of the already posted thread >

Select Reply to Thread

Enter Title and Comment

A textbox will be displayed to compose a thread. Enter a subject for the thread and its main content in the text box. Student must fill in the both in order to save the post. Once text has been entered > Post

** If your instructor requires you to add a file or record a video/audio response, select Add attachments and see directions below

Upload File to Discussion thread

Select Upload > locate the file to upload from your computer > Open > Post

Record Video or Audio file

Select Record > then choose Record Video or Record Audio

A pop up from your browser may appear asking you to allow learn.bcit.ca to use your camera and/or your microphone > select Allow to continue

Select New Recording > the camera/microphone will start recording. Once completed, select Stop Recording > Add > Post

** Tip: when recording audio or a video file, wait at least 2 or 3 seconds before speaking.
