Quizzes – How to Add an Image to a Quiz Question
An image can be added to a test or exam question. First, the images should be added to the online course in the Managed Files area, and then attached to an exam question.
Warning
Make sure your image is not named such that it gives the student the answer. If the mouse hovers the image, it will give the name of the image.
- no spaces (use underscores _ )
- no special characters in the name
It is recommended that the image is no more than 100MB in size.
Step by Step Instructions
1. Open Manage Files
Click on “Edit Course”
Under Site Resources click “Manage Files”
2. Create a New Folder
Click “New Folder” from the menu bar and name it. It’s recommended you make the name specific to the exam, not just something general like “Exam Images”.
Click “Save“
3. Upload the image(s) to the New Folder
Click on the new folder from either the column on the left or the folder itself.
Now you should on the right side a message that reads “This folder is empty”. This is because you have not added anything to it yet. Next, click “Upload”
Here you will be given the option to either drag files over to the “Drop Files here, or click below” area, or click “Upload” again. In either case, select the files you want to upload from your computer. (you should see your files appear under the “You can upload a maximum of 1GB.”)
Click “Save” to add the files to the new folder.
4. Open the Question Library
Click on “Activities” and then “Quizzes“.
Click the “Question Library” tab.
