How to embed LinkedIn Learning Videos into courses (Formerly Lynda.com)

You can link to a specific video (or an entire course) in two easy steps.

  1. Find the video in LinkedIn Learning and copy the link using the Share option
  2. Add a link to the video (or course) inside a module of your Learning Hub course

Here’s the step by step

Step 1:  Find the video in Lynda.com

Log into LinkedIn Learning with your BCIT email here. Next find your course and go to the video you want to link to.

In the top right corner of a video, click on the Share icon.

Click on “Link” option.

Next, choose whether you want to share just the specific video or then entire LinkedIn course and then click ‘Copy’

Step 2: Add this as a link in your course

Log into your course in the Learning Hub and go into the Content area.

Click or Create the Module where you want to put this link in. Next, click the New button and then select Create a Link from the dropdown menu.

Paste the copied address into the URL box, type in the Title in the top box and be sure to tick the Open as External Resource option. Once you are finished click the ‘Create’ button.

Now you have a link from your course module that students can directly access to see the LinkedIn Learning video or course. When students click on this link it will take them to the login page for LinkedIn Learning, once they log in with their BCIT email they will be able to see the video or course.
