How to Hide/Unhide Items in Course

The following will show you how to hide content, assignments, discussions, grade items, and quizzes in your course.

Using the hide option allows you to make items invisible to users.

Assignments - Hide/Unhide

Go to your Assignments page > select the dropdown arrow beside the assignment to hide > Hide From Users

* The image above shows Assignment 3 already hidden

To make the hidden item visible, repeat steps above and select Make Visible to Users

Content - Hide/Unhide

Inside your course, select Content > select the module to hide > toggle the Visible button to Hide > an eye icon with a strikethrough indicates the module is hidden

* In the image above Recorded Sessions is already hidden from students

To make the hidden item visible, repeat steps above and select Make Visible to Users

Discussions - Hide/Unhide

Go to your Discussions page > select the dropdown arrow beside the discussion to hide > Hide from Users

* The image above shows Discussion 1 already hidden

To make the hidden item visible, repeat steps above and select Make Visible to Users

Grade Items - Hide/Unhide

Go to your Grades page > Manage Grades > select the dropdown arrow beside the grade item to hide > Hide from Users

To make the hidden item visible, repeat steps above and select Make Visible to Users

Quizzes - Hide/Unhide

Go to your Quizzes page > select the dropdown arrow beside the quiz to hide > Hide from Users

* The image above shows the Final Exam already hidden

To make the hidden item visible, repeat steps above and select Make Visible to Users
