How to Use a Course Template in the Learning Hub (Updated 2025)

What’s New?

  • The Course Management tool has been replaced by the new Courses tool
  • The new tool offers a simpler interface and better sorting for course data
  • You’ll now access and manage your courses through the Courses tool (gear icon → Courses)

Steps to Use a Course Template

  1. Log in to the Learning Hub.
  2. Click the gear icon ⚙️ at the top right (next to your name).
  3. Select Courses (formerly Course Management).
  4. Use the Course Selector (waffle icon) to find your Template Course.
  5. Open the template and review the content.
  6. Go to your new course shell (the one you want to copy content into).
  7. Use Import/Export/Copy Components:
    • Choose Copy Components from another Org Unit.
    • Select the template course.
    • Follow the prompts to complete the copy.

Notes

  • You must have access to both the template course and the target course.
  • Templates are often labeled clearly (e.g., “Template” or “Master” in the course name).
  • If you don’t see the Courses tool, contact your department or admin.
