Kaltura – Thumbnails

Instructor

There are four options for setting and managing a thumbnail for your video:

Upload an image to use as your thumbnail

Select Thumbnail > then select Upload Thumbnail.
Upload a file from your desktop and click Open.
The system will automatically upload and set your image as a thumbnail

Grab a frame from the video as a thumbnail

Select Thumbnails from the menu
Press play or seek the frame you would like set as your default thumbnail
Select Capture at the frame that you want to use as a thumbnail.
The captured frame is saved automatically and used for the thumbnail.

Select an automatically generated thumbnail

Select Thumbnails > Auto Generate
The system will generate images from the video and list them. Select one to set as your thumbnail

Download and save a thumbnail

Click download and save the image onto your computer
