Announcements – Email a copy of an announcement to your Classlist
Instructors can now choose to email a copy of an announcement to all users in the Classlist when publishing.
- A Send Email Copy checkbox appears at the bottom when creating or editing an announcement.
- When selected, the full announcement is emailed to all users, including those who have opted out of announcement notifications.
- Emails are sent to student’s @my.bcit.ca email addresses only. Users without a valid email will not receive the message.
- The option resets when an announcement is copied or edited and must be reselected before republishing.
- If users already receive automated announcement notifications, duplicate or similar emails may occur.

Note
Emails are sent from the Instructor’s name@mail.learn.bcit.ca account. If a student tries to reply to this email address, an undelivered message will appear.
We suggest creating a Welcome Message that clearly displays your contact information.
