Quizzes – How to Delete a Quiz Attempt

Click on Activities > Quizzes

Select the dropdown beside the desired quiz > Grade

You should now see the list of all the students who have completed at least one attempt.

If this is a case where the student in question has not completed an attempt but has one they have not submitted than click Show Search Options.  Otherwise skip the next step

Once the Search options are revealed first in Restrict To switch the option to Users with attempts in progres“ then click on the Magnifying glass icon 🔍 to search for students with attempts they have no submitted

Now do one of three:

1. Click the checkbox next to the the attempt to target the specific attempt for the individual student
2. Click the checkbox next to the student’s name to target all attempts from that students
3. Or click the checkbox next to First Name, Last Name to target all attempts from all students

Then click on Reset icon to Delete the attempt(s)
