Quizzes – Setup a Default or an Additional View (Quiz Submission Views – show answers in a quiz)
After a student submits a quiz in the Learning Hub, they typically see:
- A confirmation message: “Your work has been saved and submitted.”
- Their score for that attempt.
If you’d like students to see which answers they got right or wrong, you can configure a Submission Views. There are two types:
Default View
Use this to show results immediately after submission
Go to Quizzes > Select your quiz > Edit

Go to Evaluation & Feedback > Customize Quiz Results Displays

Select Edit View

From this page, you can Customize Quiz Results Displays
The message in this area will be displayed after the quiz is submitted by the student. Enter a personalized message for the students to see (Optional)

Under the Questions area, there are four choices to choose from. These options will determine what is seen immediately after the quiz is submitted
- Don’t Show – only the message will appear to the student
- All Questions
- Incorrect questions only with learner’s responses
- Correct questions only with learner’s responses
From each dropdown, there are options to choose from. Select what works best for your course

Select Update when completed.
Additional View
Use this to release answers at a later time or for a limited duration.
Best Practice:
Create two additional views:
- One to start the review period.
- One to end it.
This avoids relying on time limits, which can be unreliable if students access feedback at different times. It also ensures the view remains usable for future course rollovers, even if the original dates have passed.
Go to Quizzes > Select your Quiz > Edit
Go to Evaluation & Feedback > Customize Quiz Results Displays

Click on Additional View

Customize Quiz Results Displays
- Set a Display Date for when feedback should be available.
- Optionally, set a limited viewing time (eg., 30 mins)
- Select the box beside “A limited amount of time (in minutes) after submission, then Under Time Limit enter the number of minutes each student is allow to review their for
- *Note* students will only be able to review their exam for the number of specified minutes starting from the date you have selected and NOT when they first access their feedback.
- CAUTION – this timing does not always work if the student has already tried to view their results. (Best to have two additional views – see NOTE at the end of this job aid).

Optional: add a message and configure grade visibility as needed.
