Your preferred name matters—it’s the name that will appear in BCIT communications and certain systems.

You can update the information BCIT uses to contact you through the Online Self Service section of myBCIT. This includes your preferred name (the name you want BCIT to use when addressing you).

Once updated, your preferred name will also appear in the Learning Hub. Follow the instructions in the link above to make your updates.
