Class for Teams – Enable Camera and Microphone

Google Chrome

  1. Open Settings:

    • Click the three dots (menu) in the top-right corner and select Settings.
  2. Privacy and Security:

    • Scroll down and click on Privacy and Security.
  3. Site Settings:

    • Select Site Settings under the “Privacy and Security” section.
  4. Camera & Microphone Permissions:

    • Scroll down to the Content section and click Camera or Microphone.
    • Make sure the toggle is set to “Ask before accessing” (recommended), or manually allow specific sites.
  5. Allow Access on a Website:

    • When you visit a site that requires camera or microphone access, Chrome will prompt you.
    • Select Allow when prompted.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Settings:

    • Click the three horizontal lines (menu) in the top-right corner and select Settings.
  2. Privacy & Security:

    • From the left menu, click Privacy & Security.
  3. Permissions:

    • Scroll to the Permissions section.
    • Click on Settings… next to Camera or Microphone.
  4. Allow or Block Access:

    • A list of websites will appear. Here you can choose to Allow or Block specific sites.
    • Make sure Block new requests asking to access your camera is unchecked, if you want to grant permissions.
  5. Access Prompt:

    • When accessing a website requiring your camera or microphone, Firefox will prompt you.
    • Select Allow to grant access.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Settings:

    • Click the three dots (menu) in the top-right corner and select Settings.
  2. Cookies and Site Permissions:

    • In the left sidebar, click on Cookies and site permissions.
  3. Camera & Microphone:

    • Scroll down and click on Camera or Microphone.
  4. Set Permissions:

    • Make sure the toggle is set to “Ask before accessing” or manually allow specific sites.
  5. Grant Access on a Website:

    • Edge will prompt you when a site requests access to the camera or microphone.
    • Click Allow to enable it.

Safari (macOS)

  1. Open Safari Preferences:

    • In the top-left corner, click Safari, then Preferences.
  2. Websites Tab:

    • In the Preferences window, select the Websites tab.
  3. Camera & Microphone:

    • In the left sidebar, select Camera or Microphone.
  4. Allow Access:

    • On the right, for each website listed, choose Allow from the drop-down menu to grant access.
  5. Grant Access on a Website:

    • When visiting a site that requires access, Safari will prompt you to allow it.

Opera

  1. Open Settings:

    • Click the Opera logo in the top-left corner and select Settings.
  2. Privacy & Security:

    • Scroll down and click Advanced, then select Privacy & Security.
  3. Site Settings:

    • Under Site Settings, click Camera or Microphone.
  4. Set Permissions:

    • Enable the setting to “Ask before accessing” for both camera and microphone.
    • You can also allow access to specific sites.
  5. Allow Access on a Website:

    • Opera will prompt you when a site requests access.
    • Choose Allow to grant permission.
