Discover – Overview

To locate the Discover tool, log into the Learning Hub > select myTools > Discover

** Only courses that have the Discover tool switched on will appear in the search results. Inactive courses will not appear.

** How to enable Discover tool

Go to your course > select Edit Course > Course Offering Information

Scroll down and tick the Discover option > Save

* Use this job aid to set Enrollment Rules and Approval settings

Once your course has been added to the Discover tab, a shareable URL link can be sent to users to locate and self-enroll into your course.

1. Log into the Learning Hub > myTools > Discover > locate the course to share > click on the Course
2. On the following page, highlight and copy the URL (CTRL+C to copy and CTRL+V to paste) from the open tab. You can share this link with people who would like to enroll in the course.

** The URL link must come from the myTools > Discover > course name path. Confirm that the word “discovery” is in the URL link.

** Users with a BCIT account will be prompted to sign into the Learning Hub using the copied link.

Log into the Employee Learning Centre using https://pd.bcit.ca. The Discover tool is located on the main navigation bar.

Go to your course > select Edit Course > Course Offering Information
