Quizzes – Create a Question Pool (Random Section) in a Quiz

A Question Pool allows you to add previously-used questions to your quiz and define a marking scheme for that specific question pool.

Select the Quiz

Go to Activities > Quizzes, select the dropdown arrow beside the quiz > Edit

Add a New Question Pool

Select Create New > Question Pool

Question Pool title and Add Questions

Enter a name for the Question Pool in the Question Pool Title area.
Enter the number of questions you want to use in your pool under Number of Questions to Select. This is the number of questions that will show up in your exam.
Enter the point value of each question (this can be changed after adding questions).
Click on Browse Question Library

5. Select the sections/questions from the Question Library window that pops up > Import

** If you do not have any questions created yet enter ‘0’ for Number of Questions and ‘1’ for Points per Question and click ‘Save’.

Save Your Work

The imported questions will be populate inside Quiz setting area in a section folder > Save and Close
