Kaltura – Access Denied Error

There are multiple reasons why you may be seeing an ‘Access Denied’ error when clicking on a Kaltura video inside your course. The two most common reasons why this is is that either the video you are attempting to access may not have finished transcoding in the background after has been uploaded or that you have not activated the Kaltura tools for the course you are currently in.

Please note that in most scenarios simply waiting for 30-45 minutes after if you have clicked on a Kaltura video in your course is enough to resolve this issue. Despite that however you might wish to do the following:

Activate Kaltura before using it

If this is your first time accessing a Kaltura video inside a new course then it is recommend you first activate Kaltura by accessing the Kaltura My Media tool (even if you never end up using this tool). To do so from inside your course click on myTools > Kaltura My Media (and additionally tick the checkbox if prompted)
