Pearson Textbook Integration
Access Pearson is a digital integration platform designed to connect Pearson courseware like Pearson MyLab directly into BCIT Learning Hub courses.
Access Pearson can be found by going into the Content area of your Learning hub course, creating a module and then using the Add Existing Activities button. From here type in Access Pearson into the search bar, click the first link that you see and you will have initiated an instance of Pearson inside your course.
Setting Up Access Pearson
- For Step 1, select Access Pearson as an external tool.
- Please ignore Step 6, as the “Enable Access Pearson Codeless” option has not been enabled. Students must purchase an access code for their digital textbooks either from the BCIT Bookstore or directly from Pearson.
- The Content Browser widget referenced in some of the steps in the article is not set up, please ignore these instructions.
Migrating Pearson Mylab into Access Pearson
If you have created Pearson content previously using the Pearson Mylab legacy integration (anytime before June 15th 2025) then you can update and migrate your Pearson Mylab content into Access Pearson.
