Additional Notes
Be Conscious of Uploading Large videos
When uploading your video files please be aware that the longer your video (or the better the quality) is the more time the system will take to finish processing it. While Kaltura has no hard size limits for uploading videos, videos that are longer than 30 minutes or have a file size that is greater than 100MB may take several hours to upload or result in timeout errors.
If your video exceeds these limits then it is recommend that you trim your video into multiple smaller videos using editing software like Adobe Premiere or Camtasia and then uploading them separately. You can access this software by contacting ITS directly at 604-412-7444-1 or techhelp@bcit.ca and inquiring about installing these onto your BCIT issued laptop.
Alternatively the LTC Video & Digital Media and Mediaworks teams both offer video editing services for BCIT faculty. To book an appointment with either department please contact either Scott Watts (Mediaworks) or Chris Cambon (Video & Digital Media).
