Media Gallery Overview
The Media Gallery is the area inside a course where anyone who is enrolled into that course a can view videos published from individual My Media repositories. If you are not familiar with My Media please read the My Media Overview prior to getting started with the Media Gallery.
At a glance Media Gallery you will allow to:
- Display videos that the entire class can see
- Approve/Reject videos from students
- Create video playlists
- View analytics
- Import videos from other course Media Galleries
For information on each of these specific functions please see the job aid titled Media Gallery Options. Additionally you can also publish videos from your My Media directly from Media Gallery as well as change the Display options (see each section below).
To get started, first go to your course in The Learning Hub and click then click Media Gallery
Adding Videos from My Media
To add a video into the Media gallery, click Add Media.
Select the media piece you want to add, and click Publish. You can select, one, multiple or all media pieces.

Manage your view of the Course Media space by using the Sort or View (All, Video, Quiz, Audio, Image) options.
You can also use the three icons to the left of the Add Media button to arrange media by:
Grid View
Detailed View
Collapsed View
Things to Remember
The Course Media space is specific an individual course in D2L. This means that you will need to set up your Course Media for each Learning Hub course you have.
You can also upload media (videos, audio files, etc.) directly into the Media Gallery. When you do this, the media you add will also appear in your My Media.
