Copy “Class for Teams” Recordings to a New Course
Class for Teams recordings cannot be directly copied to a new course. Instead, download them individually, upload them individually to Kaltura, and embed them in content topics. Subsequent course rollovers will include the embedded Kaltura video content as long as the steps below are followed.
Step 1: Download your "Class for Teams" recording.
1. Enter your course.
2. On the course navbar, click “Activities”.
3. Click “Class for Teams”.
4. Go the applicable room (if you have more than one).
5. Click the “Recordings” tab and then the ellipsis beside the applicable recording.
6. Click “download”.
7. Click the download link.
8. Locate your download and move it to a location of your choice. Below is a screenshot using the Chrome browser that shows how you can find your downloaded files.
Step 2: Upload your recording to Kaltura "My Media".
Follow the steps to upload a recording to Kaltura “My Media” in the job aid, “How to upload videos into Kaltura“.
Step 3: Embed your Kaltura video in a Content Tool topic.
Follow the steps to insert your Kaltura video into the Content Tool.
Step 4: Roll over Kaltura media to a new course.
Watch the video (phase 1 section) to roll over Kaltura video (full or partial rollover) in the Content Tool.
Note: It is not necessary to roll over the Media Gallery if your intention is just to roll over videos in the Content Tool.
