Media Gallery Rollover

Another way to copy your Kaltura videos into your course offering is to import the contents of the Media Gallery from another course.

Importing from Course Templates

Please note that this method will only work when transferring from one course offering into another. Importing videos from course template Media Galleries does not work. If you wish to transfer videos that are in the Media Gallery of a course template into your course offering you (or the owner of the video) will have to manually publish them individually from the My Media Gallery

  1. In the current course offering, go the Kaltura Media Gallery by  selecting Activities > Kaltura Media Gallery
  2. Select the Channels Action Button and select Import
  3. Import should generate a list of all course offerings that you have Instructor or Admin access into. Select the course then click on Import. Kaltura will automatically import all videos and created playlists from the selected course offering into the current course offering regardless if you own them or not.

Please note, the Import action will copy over ALL videos from one media gallery into another. You cannot select individual videos using this method. Meaning if you don’t want certain videos to appear in your Media Gallery you will have to remove them individually.

If you would like to copy over specific videos into the Media Gallery we might recommend publishing them into the course offering from your My Media repository instead.
